Bengaluru: Police file case against Muthalik for provocative speech

Bengaluru, Jul 4: Police here on Monday, July 3 filed a suo moto case against Sri Ram Sene chief Pramod Muthalik for delivering an objectionable speech propagating violence.

Muthalik had made the speech on Sunday, July 2 at Maurya Circle while protesting against the initiative of holding of Iftar party for Muslims at Sri Krishna Math in Udupi by Pejawar Swamiji recently. Muthalik had said in his speech that there will be bloodshed if Iftar parties are allowed in temples in the state henceforth.

Based on this speech, the police at High Grounds police station registered a suo moto case against Muthalik.

Why filing case ? tie him to police vehicle, drag him to police station in full public view and shoot him at close range. I guess he may be a school drop out, trying to get some prominence by showing his close proximity to Hindu Gods! RSS. BD. Ramasena, VHP all these give provocative speech. When Zakir Naik said something which is not proven there is a warrant issued in his name and all his organisations are closed. Why not people like Muthalik, Togadia and many more who all give provocative speaches are not banned completely. How can there be peace in country if there is hatred among each other. Why there is law and order in country if they cannot follow. They are creating their own laws and govt is supporting them. Why do we need such a govt.

NIA takes up and investigates cases pertaining to threats on national security only.
Mutaliks case is internal and will be handled by police. There is no conspiracy by Mutalik to blast bombs and kill random civilians.
It is unfortunate that the people conspire against India and being nabbed by NIA are mostly Muslims. Neither the conspirators can be attached to the general Muslims of India nor the actions of NIA can be presumed to be against Indian Muslims.

Now don't say that I support Muthalik. Please read my earlier comments for my view on Mutalik.
