Modi to address NDA MPs on July 16


New Delhi, July 7 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address National Democratic Alliance (NDA) MPs on July 16, a day ahead of the Presidential election and also the day on which Parliament's monsoon session is to begin.

"Modi will address a meeting of NDA MPs on July 16 at 5 p.m.," Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Parliamentary Party secretary B. Kamarasu said in a letter addressed to all NDA MPs.

Prior to addressing the MPs that day, Modi will chair a meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Party Executive Committee of which Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and other senior leaders are members.

After Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, the BJP set up a Parliamentary Party Executive Committee. 

The election for President of India is scheduled on July 17 and the result will be declared on July 20.
