Dubai, Apr 28: Bellevision UAE had organized a full days Exciting picnic at the lush greens of SAFA Park in Dubai on 25 March 2008.
Under the able direction of Avil D'Souza duly supported by Elias D'Souza along with the President Valerian Alva and committee members, Bellevision UAE organized a never forgetting, funfilled picnic at Safa Park.
The Picnic commenced at 12.00 noon with a prayer from Ashok. This was witnessed by around 200 people from the mangalorean Konkani speaking community in Dubai which truly served the aim of organizing this picnic. People from all the age groups right from the age of 4 years to the age of 60 years participated in this event.
The much awaited action began with the grouping of the participants into four teams i.e. Rockstar, Bellestar, Kingfisher and the Bangalore Challengers to make the people actively participate in the events with a competitive spirit.
Games were organized keeping in mind the enthusiasm and the winning spirit of the people. The event began with Dodge Ball, which was like a warm up game to enable maximum participation from the crowd. During the course of the day different games were conducted for the children and the older crowd to liven up their spirits and to set free the animal within them.
The event was even more enriched by the graceful presence of the Principal of St. Lawrence Junior college, Moodubelle as well as the ex presidents and other senior members of Bellevision UAE who distributed prizes for the winners.
Belle Vision was thankful to the sponsorers Leo D'souza owner of Canara Restaurant who sponsored the delicious lunch and tea for the picnic, Rosemary of Tiffany Foods - sponseror of snacks and goodies, Valerian Fernandes of Pepsi Abu Dhabi for providing the refreshments, Jotun Paints for organising the caps and T- shirts for the committee members and Dayan D'Souza for organising the Rope for the most awaited and exciting Tug of war held at the end of the day.
The whole hearted support from all its committee members who put their heart & mind, led to the successs of this event.
