Udupi: Woman falls off motor bike - passes away

Udupi, Jul 15: A woman who fell off a moving motor bike lost her life on Friday July 14. The incident happened at Parampalli-Padukare near Saligrama in the taluk. The deceased has been identified as Suguna Poojaruy (40), a local.

Suguna's daughter studies at a nearby school. After she went to school, the girl suffered from high fever. The teachers called the girl's mother, asking her to take her daughter away and provide her treatment. As it was raining heavily, Suguna, who tried to travel by auto rickshaw, did not get any vehicle. She then rode on the motor bike driven by her younger brother. When moving on the bike, she was holding an umbrella to protect herself from rain. Because of the force of the wind, her umbrella flew away, and because of its force, Suguna fell down from the bike, and lost her life instantly.

Suguna was eking out a living by working on daily wage basis. She is survived by husband and two daughters.
