Mumbai, Jul 17: St Xavier's High School celebrated Environment Day on July 15. The presence of luminaries from various fields added a touch of elegance to the programme.
Guests Dr Sudhakar Pujari, Bharat Soni, Hemangi Mhaprolkar, Nishika Rupamwar were highly delighted to see the enthusiasm and efforts made to arrange the programme.
The programme began with a Bible reading, prayer and a special prayer by pastor Wilfred Faleiro through a harmonious prayer song and a welcome song. The students put up a magnificent skit portraying the power of the slogan 'Each One Plant One' for a healthier environment. The students of the primary section performed a melodious environment song and also highlighted the importance of the environment. The students who excelled in various competitions during the environment week were felicitated on the occasion. The guests motivated the students to exercise responsibility over the environment.
The motto 'Each One Plant One' on tree plantation was carried out in the school premises.
The guests present at the celebration highly appreciated the endeavor of the chairman Dr A F Pinto, managing director Grace Pinto, the management, headmistress, supervisors, staff and students for the breathtaking and significant event.
