Dubai, Apr 30: St. Mary's Konkan community (SMKC), DUBAI, the Premier Organization of the United Arab Emirates, affiliated to St. Mary’s Church, Dubai is pleased to announce that within the first 2 hours of announcement of hosting indoor Sports meet at Insportz Dubai , the organization has got 13 cricket teams registered on April 27, 2008, a record indeed.
"SMKC is now contemplating to accommodate at least 12 teams on the basis of first come first serve basis although it was announced to have a maximum of 9 teams and this decision will be conveyed to the participating teams very shortly ", Vincent Pereira, the enthusiastic Sports Coordinator in a communiqué to website said.
Boniface Carlo, the energetic, think tank Main Coordinator of SMKC said, - " it is indeed great news for SMKC Dubai that teams in such large numbers have come forward and shown their interest to play under our banner.
Jennifer Mascarenhas, the ever smiling and cheerful Vice Coordinator said, - "The overwhelming response to our call is beyond our expectation and it highlights the credibility of SMKC Dubai and also provide morale boost to the organizing Sports Committee".
Vincent Pereira, further informed that the registration for throwball teams will continue & requested the playing teams in UAE to come forward and register their names with following SMKC Dubai, Sports Committee members at the earliest in order to avoid last minute disappointment.
