Mangalore: Journalists Vinayaka Bhat, Anand Bakshi Given Farewell

Mangalore, May 1: The working journalists' association of the district here felicitated Vinayaka Bhat Muroor, correspondent of Vijaya Karnataka Kannada daily and Anand Bakshi, photo journalist of Deccan Herald/Prajavani, at press club here on May 1, 2008.

Bhat who started his career in the city has been promoted as a correspondent at Delhi. Bakshi, who served here as photo journalist for 6 years, has been transferred to Bangalore.

On the occasion Padmanbha Sibanti of Deccan Herald, Harish Rai of Vijaya Karnataka Melka Miyar of Daijiworld.com, Ronald Anil Fernandes of Deccan Herald, Venu Vinod of Kannada Prabha and others expressed their opinion about their fellow journalist.

Mangalore Press Club president Anand Shetty, Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists' Association president Harsha, secretary Ramakrishna and other office-bearers were present on the occasion.
