Dubai, May 3: It was a great event when Billawas Dubai & Northern Emirates organized their annual managing committee party for their committee members, grand patrons and their families on Thursday May 1 at Zamorrodah Hall, Zabeel Road, Dubai. This party was whole-heartedly sponsored by prominent Billawa Patrons who are part of the present Managing Committee.
The function started sharp at 10.00 pm with a welcome speech by the president Umesh Kuckian followed by cake cutting by Pramila and Jitendra Survana whose Silver Wedding Anniversary was also celebrated.
Various fun games for childern, bachelors, ladies and couples plus Tambola were conducted by Shodhan Prasad who attracted the crowd with his own style of conducting games. The crowd on the whole enjoyed every bit of it and also danced to the tune of baila.
New members joined recently were also introduced during the function.
The highlight of the function was felicitation to special guest Y Nagesh vice-president of Billawa Association Mumbai for his dedicated service to the community. He addressed the audiance and shared his experience speaking about his good old times in social and charity works he dedicated to the community. There was also farewell given to the well-known community hardworker Dinesh Kotian, who will be leaving Dubai for good. His services rendered to the community was applauded and his leaving will surely leave a big vacuum to the community especially during the programmes.
The newly-married couples, Anil and Krithi, Yogesh and Sreelata were greeted with a bouquet and gift by Sarita and Rohit Salian and Reshma and Ganesh Amin respectively. Both the couples were blessed for a happy and prosperous married life. Also the audiance cheered up and remembered the first wedding anniversary of Sudhakar Poojary and Jayshree and 20th Wedding Anniversary of Mohan Attavar during the function.
Delicious dinner was served at around midnight which was very well organized by the famous Chavadi Resturarant.
The party got concluded with presentation of prizes to winners of the games and vote of thanks by the president Umesh Kuckian.
