Udupi: Pedestrian crossing road knocked down to death by bus

Udupi, Aug 4: A person who was crossing the road near Kota bus stand was hit by a bus. The pedestrian in question was killed in this incident, and the victim has been identified as Subraya Madiwala (75) from Kasanagundu, Kota.

Madiwala had come to Kota to take part in the weekly market assembled there on Thursday. When crossing the road, he stumbled and fell to the road. The wheels of a private bus that was moving towards the town from Kundapur moved over his head, killing Madiwala instantly.

In the accident, the body of the victim was thoroughly crushed.  Madiwala has left behind wife and two sons. The body was taken to hospital for postmortem. Station house officer of Kota, Santosh Kaykini and staff registered the case and began investigation.
