Udupi: Youth Congress holds protest - decries IT raid on minister, Shivakumar

Udupi, Aug 4: District youth Congress committee organized a mega protest near the clock tower here onThursday August 3, condemning income tax (IT) raid on energy minster, D K Shivakumar's residence and concerns owned by him.

The protesters raised slogans against Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and BJP national president, Amit Shah. Addressing the gathering, president of Udupi constituency publicity committee, P Amrit Shenoy, said that it is established that the IT raid was politically motivated and that this happens to be an attempt to keep Shivakumar under tight leash by misusing income tax department. He claimed that Shivakumar, considered as the second richest people's representatives from the country, has been paying taxes promptly, he has been targetted unnecessarily.



















Youth Congress district president, Vishwas V Ameen, president of Karnataka State Minorities Development Corporation, M A Gafoor, chairman of Udupi Urban Development Authority, B Narasimha Murthy, district spokesperson, Bhaskar Rao Kediyoor, block Congress president, Satish Ameen Padukere, INTUC district president, Ganesh N Kotian Padubidri, Kaup block Congress president, Naveenchandra J Shetty, municipal councillors, Janardan Bhandarkar, Ramesh Kanchan, Ganesh Nergi, and Narayan Kundar, women Congress leaders, Veronica Carnelio, Dr Suneeta Shetty, Jyoti Hebbar and many others participated.
