Panasonic to unveil 2 phones, ropes in Taapsee as brand ambassador


New Delhi , Aug 8 (IANS): Introducing a fresh line-up for the upcoming festive season, Japanese technology firm Panasonic will unveil two new Android-based smartphones on August 9.

Panasonic has also roped in Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu to endorse its smartphone range, after bringing in actor Varun Dhawan in May 2013.

According to industry sources, both the smartphones will be placed in Rs 10,000-Rs 14,000 price segment.

The company is planning to introduce 11 new smartphones in the next two months.

Panasonic recently launched P55 Max device with a massive 5,000mAh battery in its budget smartphone range. It features a 5.5-inch HD display with 3GB RAM and 16GB ROM.

The smartphone sports a metal design and runs Android 7.0 Nougat OS. There is 13MP camera with Quad LED flash on-board.

The company also unveiled its in-house artificial intelligence (AI)-based smartphones -- Eluga Ray Max and Eluga Ray X at Rs 11,499 (for 32GB version) and Rs 8,999 respectively in March this year.
