Mangaluru: DCP Hanumantharaya's transfer order withdrawn

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Aug 10: The state government has revoked its earlier order transferring deputy commissioner of police of the city commissionerate (traffic and crime), Hanumantharaya. As per the new order, he has been retained in the commissionerate here and posted as deputy commissioner of police (law and order).

Hanumantharaya was promoted to the cadre of IPS officer a month back. On August 4, the government had issued an order, transferring him as principal of police training school at Channapatna.

At the same time, the government has cancelled the order as per which Puttamadaiah was appointed as deputy commissioner of police (law and order) in this commissionerate. Puttamadaiah has now been made principal of police training school.

No one has so far been posted to the position of deputy commissioner of police (traffic and crime) in the commissionerate here, which was hitherto held by Hanumantharaya.
