Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School’s U17 team wins Independence Cup football tourney

Mangaluru, Aug 16: Lourdes Central School’s under-17 boys’ football team emerged victorious in the Independence Cup inter-district football competition on Tuesday, August 15.

The competition was organised by District Football Association on the occasion of Independence Day at Nehru Maidan here. As many as 57 teams took part in the tournament in the under-17 category.

The 16-member team of Lourdes Central School led by physical education teachers Vishwanath Devadiga and Triveni Poojarthy has brought laurels to the school.
