Mangaluru, Aug 25: After a lorry hit him near Kokkarkal Mulky on national highway 66, a person who was engaged in selling newspapers in Mulky bus stand lost his life. The deceased happened to be Sheena Poojary (72), resident of Gajani Thota, Manampady, Mulky.

Poojary suffered severe injuries to his limbs and lost his life. On Thursday afternoon, after completing his job of selling newspapers at Mulky bus stand, Poojary was waiting near the road divider to cross the road. He was knocked down by a truck bearing Punjab registration. Sheena got slammed to the road, and instantly the front wheel of the truck moved over his leg. Because of serious injuries to limbs and head, his condition turned critical. The people immediately admitted him into a private hospital at Mukka, but Sheena Poojary could not be saved.

Sheena Poojary was engaged in selling newspaper at Mulky bus stand since the last over four decades. He also worked as newspaper distributor for shops. On the basis of a complaint filed by a person named Balachandra, a case about the accident stands registered in the city (north) police station.
