Light showers likely in Delhi


New Delhi, Aug 26 (IANS): It was a pleasant Saturday morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature recorded at 26.5 degrees Celsius, the season's average.

"It will be generally cloudy sky with possibility of light rain towards afternoon," a India Meteorological Department official told IANS.

The maximum temperature was expected to hover around 35.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above the normal.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 88 per cent and the city received 2.8 mm of rain in the past 24 hours.

On Friday, the mercury touched 34.7 degrees Celsius, a degree above the season's average and the minimum was recorded at 28 degrees Celsius.
