You let Panchkula burn for political benefits: HC slams Haryana govt; DCP shunted

Chandigarh, Aug 26 (Deccan Chronicle): Punjab and Haryana High Courts on Saturday slammed Haryana government and said, "you let Panchkula burn for political benefits," reported ANI.

A day after self-styled godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was found guilty of raping two of his followers in 2002, his violent supporters caused riots and burned vehicles which killed 31 people and injured over 250.

Both High Courts asked the state government for details of Ram Rahim Singh's movable and immovable properties in Punjab and Haryana, the report added.

The next hearing is scheduled for August 29.

Ram Rahim case: First head rolls for violence, Panchkula DCP suspended

Chandigarh, Aug 26 (PTI): The Deputy Commissioner of Police in Panchkula was suspended on Saturday by the Haryana government, a day after 31 people died in the district in violence triggered by the rape conviction of self-styled godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.

IPS officer Ashok Kumar, DCP Panchkula, has been put under suspension with immediate effect, an official order said.

During the period of suspension, he will report to the office of DGP, Haryana, Panchkula, it said.

Official sources saied the senior police officer was blamed for failing to get prohibitory orders under Section 144 effectively implemented in Panchkula.

Dera Sacha Sauda followers went on a rampage yesterday following conviction of Ram Rahim Singh by a CBI court in Panchkula in rape case.

Security forces remained on high alert on Saturday in Panchkula as an uneasy calm prevailed in the district, the epicentre of Friday's violence triggered by the rape conviction of self-styled godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.

The violence that claimed 31 lives has left locals in shock and anguish, with many questioning why authorities failed to assess and control the situation on time.

In Panchkula, 29 people died and over 250 were injured after the Dera Sacha Sauda followers went on a rampage on Friday. Over 60 police personnel including two IPS officers were also injured. Two people died in Sirsa, the headquarters of Ram Rahim’s sect Dera Sacha Sauda.

"The situation is tense, but under control now," a senior official said on Saturday.

Its very funny to watch Haryana incident in 2014 election PM told you will have achy din, good governance and sab key sath sabka vikas but after election we not seen anything like that.
Our SC, HC or any court have value or our country law is out dated for BJP and his rest supporters, if common person do this things he will get troubled and life time he will be out of society.
This is our India and I feel to say am Indian coz our govt make us shameless person. People of India wants to think how to go forward and coz there is no value for section 144. Once similar thing I watched if its Haryana or BC road incident it happen same.

Panchkula burn is What Happens When a Communal Agenda is Passed Off as ‘Good Governance’.

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar had zero administrative experience – except for RSS Shaka and his band of vigilantes licensed cow vigilantes.

Haryana CM is miserable failed during Jat quota agitation and let burn for for week when death toll reached 30 in days which left Rs35,000 crores to the economy of India.
His government once again came to rescue when Haryana BJP president Subhash Barala's son arrested for stalking IAS officer's daughter. Instead of arresting the accused, BJP state vice-president Ramveer Bhatti, while talking to media, questioned the victim for being out after 12 in the night.
Consider Khattar track record Pracharak and his present office tenure, and it’s clear that we need to hold him and the BJP accountable. Dog whistles being passed off as “good governance” are a recipe for tragedy.

When ' Nirbhaya' was gang raped in moving bus in Delhi, BJP mobilised the youth made it political tool to overthrow then Sheila Dixit government. Now Haryana BJP President son was released on bail and Dera Chief is given airconditioned jail cell saying 'space constraint'.
Modi warned lawmakers against "politicising rape", saying they were "playing with the dignity of women" in his first speech to parliament since sweeping to power .
Modi said in opening speech "Governments will have to work strictly against this, else our own souls will not forgive us,".
On women's day PM Modi said "The government is working towards safety and security by exploring the provision of a panic button and smart phones that can come to the aid of women along with facilities like GPS,".
The panic button is triggered since women are raped during Jat quota agitation, once again when IPS officer's daughter stalked by none other than BJP party president son and now someone's beti's working as Sadhvi's raped by 'Petaji' as referred by his followers.
How long CM Modi and BJP will wait to CM of Haryana?

Was this an "off the cuff" slam, or ex cathedra?
Whatever it is, as I had commented earlier, equivalent of martial law was proclaimed but didn't stop the mayhem. In such grave, charge filled prosecutions, it would have been wiser to change the venue of trial, prosecution and judgement to a different jurisdiction - perhaps outside those twin states.

The show of strength to Dera's Ram Rahim is similar to Gujarat riots.

Kattar allowed godman's supporters to destroy private and public properties as he has supported the BJP during Haryana's State Elections.

I CATAGORICALLY AND VEHEMENTLY ASK RESIGNATION FROM HARYANA CHIEF MINISTER KATTER FOR ALLOWING DESTRUCTION OF PRIVATE AND PUBLIC PROPERTY.

THE CHIEF MINISTER KATTAR SHOULD BE REPRIMANDED AND SHOULD SHUT INSIDE THE JAIL FOR THE DERELICTION OF CONSTITUTIONAL DUTIES TAKEN DURING THE OATH.

DEAR KATTER RESIGN FROM CHIEF MINISTER IMMEDIATELY.

SUPPOSE KATTAR IS NOT RESIGNING IMPOSE PRESIDENT'S RULE IN HARYANA IMMEDIATELY.

Where is the justice in our constitution. 60 children died last week due to poisoning, what action was taken. and for a lavish play boy, a rapist who the people blindly believe and worship as their god had done a crime and the blind believe public is supporting him, standing in his favor .
    where is the justice....
No body has ever spoken a word and shown sympathy for those innocent kids.
If it had happened to their own blood, then would have realized the value, feelings.
