Bengaluru, Aug 28: A nine-year-old girl was allegedly thrown out of the terrace of a building by her own mother, after which she got killed on the spot. The family of the girl reportedly stays in the third floor of the building, and it is said that her mother threw her down the terrace. This tragic incident happened at Jaraganahalli within the limits of J P nagar police station on Sunday August 27 early evening.

The accused, Swathi Sarkar of West Bengal origin, has been staying in this rented house since about a year. Police said that the victim was Ashika, daughter of Swathi. As soon as locals found the girl having died out of profuse bleeding on the floor, they went to Swathi Sarkar's house and beat her up. They then bound her to an electric pole and called the police.

Although some others took the girl to a hospital, the doctors said she was not alive.

It is said that Swathi had got separated from Kanchan Sarkar, her husband, working in a well-known IT company, sometime back. The police said that the girl lost her life after having been thrown down by the mother for a second time from third floor. More details are awaited.
