Abu Dhabi, May 24: Joy Winston D'Souza, a Mangalorean, has bagged the top honours in the 12th standard CBSE board exams in the boys' section of Abu Dhabi Indian School. The results were announced on Friday May 23.
Winston scored an aggregate of 91.8 percent and 94.5 percent in PCM that saw him surge ahead of the other students.
A brilliant student, Winston is also a member of MENSA International. In 2007, he was honoured with the Sastra Pratibha Award.
He is also a whiz at sports and is the vice-captain and sports secretary of his school.
He has bagged several medals and certificates in table tennis at inter-school and zonal levels in UAE and Oman. Apart from that, he has also participated in several quiz contests.
His other interests are basketball, football, swimming, badminton, playing chess and scrabble, music, drawing and reading.
Winston plans to pursue his higher studies in NIT-K, Suratkal, Mangalore and wants to do major in computer science engineering.
