Mangaluru: CMWM holds AGM, includes male members in loan provision

Mangaluru, Sep 1: Christian Minority Women’s Multipurpose Cooperative Sociey convened their second annual general meeting at Bishop’s House auditorium here recently.

God’s blessings were invoked in an opening prayer by the directors. Board of Directors Shalet Pinto, Sylvia D'Souza, Benedicta D'Souza, Julia Crasta, Lidwin Lobo, Godwin Rebello, Aprocine Veigas, Assumptha Crasta and Josephine D'Souza led by president Hilda Alva were invited onto the dais.

The president welcomed all the directors and shareholders. The annual report, annual accounts and budget were presented by the CEO and approved by the members of the society.

CEO of the society, Preema Moras said, "As future plans the Board has decided to shift our office to the ground floor of Milagres church building for the convenience of all the members and also for the betterment of our society. As decided, the AGM will extend loan facilities to the male members. CEO concluded by saying this co-operative society will be run only by Christian Minority Women, but the business is open to all including male and female members of all communities."

Vice president Julia Crasta proposed the vote of thanks. The AGM concluded with the National Anthem.
