Mangaluru, Sep 4: District Youth Congress president Mithun Rai said on Monday, September 4, that BJP Yuva Morcha does not have moral right to organize ‘Mangaluru Chalo’.

BJP Yuva Morcha is scheduled to ‘Mangaluru Chalo’, a bike rally, on September 7 demanding ban on PFI, SDPI and also the resignation of district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai.

Addressing media here Mithun Rai said, “Along with PFI, Bajrang Dal and Hindu Jagarana Vedike are also communal outfits. If PFI is involved in Sharath Madivala murder case, Bajrang Dal leader Bharath is accused in Ashraf murder case. These organisations are communal outfits who are constantly trying to disrupt peace in the district. Along with PFI, Bajrang Dal and Hindu Jagarana Vedike are also equally responsible for communal unrest in the district.”

“Dakshina Kannada is known as an education hub. But unfortunately, there are no investors coming here and job opportunities are not being created. The reason behind this is the dominance of these communal outfits in the district. As election is round the corner, BJP is trying to give rise to violence in the district which has always been part of their agenda. We are not against CBI enquiry in the murder cases of BJP-RSS members, but the murder cases of Vinayak Baliga, Karthik Raj, Praveen Poojary, Harish Poojary and Prathap Poojary should also be handed over to CBI,” he added.

Reacting to the statement of BJP Yuva Morcha president Harish Poonja who stated that Ramanath Rai has imposed Nazi policy, Mithun Rai said, “The allegations on Rai are baseless. He is a true leader and treats everyone equally. He is an uncontroversial leader and loved by all. We condemn the statement of Harish Poonja. His statement about Rai shows that he is not politically matured.”

Youth Congress vice-president Lukman, general secretary Sohail Kandak, Uttam, Naveen and others were present.
