Mangalore: Krishna Palemar to be Given Ministerial Berth?

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore(JP/MSP)

Mangalore, May 27: There is a very bright prospect for Krishna Palemar, winning candidate from Mangalore North constituency, of becoming a minister in the new government expected to be formed in the state with Yeddyurappa at the helm of affairs. In the previous election, Palemar had won from Suratkal constituency and even after the delimitation exercise and annexing of places in the earlier Suratkal constituency to other constituencies, he has stamped his class by becoming triumphant once again, with a comfortable margin.

Krishna Palemar has got the unique skill and capacity of striking harmony between  Hindus and Muslims and making both the communities work hand in hand. This quality has enabled him to get people's support all along and emerge winner once again.

After the defeat of ex- minister Nagaraj Shetty and Prabhakar Bangera from the district, this two-time MLA-businessman has got a great chance of becoming a minister. Though Yogish Bhat and Angara have won four times from their respective constituencies, they have not been that effective or been leaders of the masses. They seem to be simply satisfied with being the chairmen of corporations/boards.

Moreover, Palemar has come to be known as the 'Kingmaker' for BJP in Dakshina Kannada district. He is known as an able organizer and commands respects from his peers and party workers. It was he who suggested Ganesh Hosabettu's name for mayor's post. Though there was strong opposition towards this decision within BJP, Palemar managed to douse all differences. Hence Ganesh became mayor without any difficulties. Some sources said that he has played an effective role even in distributing party tickets this time.

Other than his strong background, his skills of taking everyone into confidence and moving along with them has worked wonders not only for him but also for BJP in general. Unlike many other BJP leaders, he has a strong minority vote bank. Add to this, the developmental works he has undertaken in his constituency make a very competitive, strong and able candidate for ministerial berth in the yet-to-be formed government.

KP's win with comfortable margin is the sign of his good administration. He is an asset for BJP and I wish he gets the ministerial berth this time.

Everybody know that Mr. Palemar is an ideal ministerial candidate. Unlike other BJP candidates, he has worked very hard in his constituency and all people respect and know his efforts. Hope he will be instrumental in looking into the grievances of the minorities and controlling the bad elements in RSS / BJP from making the common man's life miserable.

It is not the right time to give ministrial berth to Mr.Palemar.There are so many other people who put their full time in BJP, but also It is not right time to decide it is the popularity of mr.palemar, we should understand that it is BJPs popularity, you know sk voters are intelligent, They keep on supporting BJP since many many years, one of the main reason is RSS net work. Now you can see Smt Shakuntala Shetty, how she was in BJP, Now how she is, In future i think she will be no more in political life if she decides indipendent in politics.

It is provagetive of chief minister to decide whom to be minister,Creating confusion is against BJP or any party.win or loose in surathkal is not a big matter, think about other constituencies like Bantwal, heavy weight Ramanath Rai won in Bantwal, it does not mean that Mr.nagaraj shetty is not fit for ministerial bearth or Mr.shetty has not done well. Go through recent BJP state president statement regarding his ministerial berth in state cabinet, really he has given a good statement.

There is no doubt that KP is a good organizer and a good leader. But I think it is his bag of money that makes him the 'King Maker'. Yogish Bhat or Anagara are from middle class and do not have that 'mass' money with them!

Good thought!. I hope BJP leaders think alike. Krishna Palemar is there for the long run. BJP needs to invest on him. He is on top of my list for ministerial berth. Something like, Industry/Urban development which are relevant for the district. Also, he can make a remarkable difference. In Udupi district, i would like to see Lalaji Mendon for fishereies ministry. He hails from the community and knows everything about this. He is the most deserving candidate for the Fishereies ministry. Also, BJP has to consider this as an investement for the long run. Lalaji is a potential MP candidate from udupi in the future. Manorama Madwaraj is playing Crocked politics by fielding her son on CONG I ticket. Her plan was to jump the fence back to CONG I. Offcourse, plan failed!.
