Mangaluru, Sep 5: In yet another positive incident related to Aadhar Card, a young man who went missing from Bengaluru for four long years, was reunited with his family at Snehalaya here.

Somashekar, aged 29 years went missing from Marathahalli, Bengaluru four years ago, said his family who came to Snehalaya Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre to take him back home.

Locals here confirmed that Somashekar was found eating from the garbage before being picked from the streets of Bondel by Joseph Crasta from Snehalaya.

Somashekar was given psychiatric treatment at Yenepoya Hospital and was rehabilitated at Snehalaya Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre in February, this year. Due to memory loss, Somashekar was unable to reveal details about himself or his home.

Last month, the rehabilitation centre applied for an Adhaar Card for some of its inmates. After a week, Snehalaya received a call from the Aadhar centre, Bengaluru, about five applicants being rejected because they already had a card.

On receiving details of the five applicants, Joseph Crasta tried to contact the family members. He finally succeeded in getting through to the family of Somashekar. The family was finally reunited at Snehalaya.

Somashekar's family expressed gratitude to the rehabilitation centre and took him back to Bengaluru.
