Madikeri, Sep 8: A retired deputy superintendent of police (DySP) committed suicide by shooting himself. He has been identified as Cheriyamane Shashi (65). Shashi ended his life at his home on Friday September 8.
The incident happened at Maragodu village in this taluk. Shashi, who had earlier worked as DySP in Lokayukta organization, used a country made gun to kill himself.
