Bagalkot, Sep 8: In an accident which happened between a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus and a Cruiser van at Korthi Cross in Beelagi taluk in the district, six persons died on the spot. In this terrible accident which happened in the early hours of Friday September 7, two people suffered serious injuries.
There were 12 passengers in the Cruiser vehicle bearing Maharasthra registration, it is gathered. Two of the passengers suffered grave injuries. The injured were admitted into a local hospital.
The bus was moving towards Bagalkot from Vijayapura while the passenger van was moving to Solapur from Karwar.
Police personnel from Beelagi station visited the spot, took up rescue operation, and registered case.
