Mangaluru, Sep 8: A protest supported by Mulky block Congress Committee is being organized near the bus stand at Padupanambur near Haleangady on the morning of Saturday September 9. The protesters say that because of unscientific highway construction, various accidents are happening at Padupanambur.

People living in Padupanambur and nearby areas say that accidents have become a regular affair at Panambur because of haphazard manner in which the national highway has been laid here. In spite of several pleas, the national highways authority has failed to address the problem. The protesters will insist on providing a crossing facility at Padupanambur in a scientific manner.

The protest will be attended by MLA, K Abhay Chandra Jain, Dakshina Kannada district youth Congress president, Mithun Rai, district women's Congress president, Shalet Pinto, and others, said Mulky block Congress committee president, Dhananjay Mattu, in a release.
