Mangaluru: Lions Club Balmatta holds free diabetes camp

Mangaluru, Sep 11: As part of service activity, Lions Club Balmatta, on September 10, held a free diabetes checking and awareness camp, at  cordel hall, Kulshekar church, here.

The camp was held in coordination with Father Muller Medical College Hospital.

A formal stage programme was held. Simon Lobo, president of Lions Club Balmatta welcomed Fr Victor Machado, parish priest of Kuleshekar parish,  Dr Rohit pinto of Fr Mullers Hospital to the dias.


    
















Dr Rohit said that India was becoming the diabitic capital of the world and that prevention was crucial.

Fr Victor, in his message, asked people to stay safe and take care of themselves.

Almost 200 people participated in the programme.
