Beltangady: Uprooted tree kills bulldozer owner standing nearby

Beltangady, Sep 11: In a tragic incident which happened near Sooryattavu in Patrame village in the taluk on Sunday September 10 evening, a tree that was uprooted with
the help of a bulldozer directly fell on the owner of the bulldozer standing nearby. The person was instantly killed.

The deceased was Harish (34), son of Piibail Krishnappa Gowda from Hatyadka village.

Harish operated a firm, 'Sneha Earth Movers' through which he hired backhoes, tippers and bulldozer. On Sunday, a piece of land belonging to Hosamana Santosh was being levelled by clearing the land of trees, bushes etc when the tragedy occurred.

Harish is survived by wife and daughter.
