Mangaluru, Sep 12: In a tragic incident which happened at Uchila in Someshwar, Ullal near here on Monday September 11 evening, a lady hanged herself inside her home.

The victim has been identified as Sphoorti (22). Her father is employed in a foreign country. Sphoorti resides with her mother and sister. It is said that she had been suffering from depression since sometime.

Sphoorti, a graduate, had changed several jobs but had not found satisfaction in any of them. Recently she had bagged job in the accounts section of a hospital near here.

On Monday, when there was no one at home, Spoorti hanged herself from the ceiling fan of a room in the house. Her mother who came home later, found that the door of the home had been closed and Sphoorti was not responding to calls. She peeped through the window and realized what had happened. Although locals were brought together immediately in an effort to bring the lady out and try to save her, by then Sphoorti hd breathed her last.

A case about the incident was registered in Ullal polcie station.
