Mangaluru: Ganja found in container of Sri Lankan ship that came to city

Mangaluru, Sep 15: A ship that visited the city recently had 8 kilograms of ganja in its container, it is reported.

The ship had arrived in city 10 days before. It was stationed at New Mangaluru Port. When the customs officials checked a container of the ship on Thursday, September 14, they found 8 kilograms of ganja in it.

The ship belongs to a company in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Customs officials said that the ganja was stored in many small packets. They said the investigation is in progress and they are yet to find out about who was carrying the same and the place where it was meant to be taken.
