Puttur: Woman from Aittor electrocuted when disconnecting appliance

Puttur, Sep 15: A woman from Karmayi Tumbya House in Aittoor village in the taluk was electrocuted on Thursday September 14 evening.

The victim was Sheeba (36), wife of Monshi Abraham.

Noticing that rain coupled with thunder and lightening was experienced in the region, Sheeba was removing the power connection of the mixer grinder in her home to protect it from power fluctuation. But during this period, she suffered severe electric shocks and fell very ill. She breathed her last when being taken to hospital.

Sheeba is survived by husband and two sons.
