Four women killed in UP accident


Lucknow, Sep 20 (IANS): Four women were killed and more than two dozen persons injured in a road accident in Amroha district in Uttar Pradesh early on Wednesday, police said.

The injured, many in serious condition, have been admitted in the Amroha District Hospital.

The accident took place near Budhanpur village when a van collided with a tractor trolley packed with more than 70 persons. They were returning from Braijghat after a dip in the Ganges on the occasion of the Pitra Visarjani Amavasya.

Two of the deceased were identified as Chandra and Saroj.
