Mangaluru: BIT to hold graduation day on Sep 23

Mangaluru, Sep 22: The fifth graduation day ceremony of Bearys Institute of Technology will be held, on Saturday, September 23 at 10:00 AM, at BIT campus-Mangaluru. The 2017 batch graduates of Civil, Mechanical, Computer Science, Information Science and Electronics and Communication Engineering branches will be felicitated along with the best out going students.

Dr K Umamaheshwar Rao, director of NITK, Surathkal will inaugurate the programme and will deliver the inaugural address. Graduation address will be delivered by Dr Mohammed Sadiq Sait, director, Centre for Communication and IT Research, Centre for Economics and Management System (A) Research Institute, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia. Srinivas Surapani VP-India HR Services and Global Hub, Schneider Electric India Pvt Limited will present a talk on Industry Academia Integration. Syed Mohamed Beary, chairman, Bearys Academy of Learning will preside over the function. Dr S K Raikar, senior advisor, Mazhar Beary, trustee, Bearys Group and Dr Antony A J, principal will be present.

BIT to organize Green Walkathon - 2017

To create environmental awareness among people, Bearys Institute of Technology, will organize ‘Green Walkathon’ on Sunday, September 24 from Nehru Maidan to Mangala stadium. T R Suresh, IPS, commissioner of police, Mangaluru, will flag off the walkathon at 7:00 am at Nehru Maidan and Mohammed Nazeer, commissioner, Mangaluru City Corporation will be the chief guest for the valedictory function at Mangala stadium at 8:00 am.
