BDL signs contract for missiles to Indian Army


Hyderabad, Sep 25 (IANS): Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) has signed a contract with Research Centre Imarat (RCI) for supply of medium range Surface to Air Missiles (MRSAMs) to Indian Army, said a defence statement.

The contract was signed at the RCI here on Saturday for production, deliveries and product support of MRSAM system for the Army, the statement said.

The contract was signed by BDL Chairman and Managing Director V. Udaya Bhaskar and RCI Director and MRSAM (Army) Programme Director, B.H.V.S. Narayana Murthy in the presence of Director General (Missiles and Strategic Systems) and Scientific Advisor to Defence Minister G. Satheesh Reddy.

Directors and senior officials from BDL and senior scientists from DRDO were present on the occasion.
