Mangaluru, Sep 28: Konkani academy will hold an international-level Konkani language conference in January, 2018 as part of silver jubilee celebrations of national recognition for Konkani.
Academy president R P Naik made the announcement in the preparatory meeting for celebrations of 150 years of Mangaluru University. The Registrar of Mangaluru University was congratulated for starting and promoting Konkani in MA degree of the university.
Former union minister and MP Veerappa Moily who was responsible for the establishment of Konkani academy is the president of 150 years celebration committee.
The academy has expressed its pleasure for enabling to hold Konkani conference along with several projects planned by the committee.
