M'luru: Rai expresses worry over safety concerns to union minister in letter

Mangaluru, Sep 29: Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister, B Ramanath Rai, has written to union civil aviation minister, P Ashok Gajapathi Raju, urging the latter to streamline security at the airport here and safety of flights.

In the said letter, Rai expressed concern about certain incidents happening in the airport here and also concerning flights from here. He said that these developments have given rise to a feeling of concern and apprehension in the minds of passengers using the international airport in the city.

He has urged the minister to urgently attend to the security needs of the airport and also to provide new aircrafts for flights to destinations abroad from here.
