NEW DELHI, Jun 8: A man, who climbed up a drain pipe to the 15th floor of a multi-storeyed residential building to meet a woman he loved, fell to his death in Delhi's suburb Gurgaon.

According to the police, the incident took place early on Friday in Gurgaon's DLF phase 5.

Rajiv Kumar, 32, who works as a driver, wanted to meet the domestic help of the apartment located on the 15th floor of the residential complex. He climbed up the drain pipe in the dead of night.

“A resident of the 15th floor called out to me at around 2 a.m. saying that he saw someone trying to climb into his house. We heard a noise. But after inspecting, we couldn't find anyone,” said the building guard.

Kumar's body was found in the morning.

“There is no one that we can hold accountable for the accident but the victim himself, who was foolish enough to climb up the drain pipe,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Sateesh Balan.
