Airstrike kills 12 Afghan security personnel


Kabul, Oct 2 (IANS): Twelve security personnel were killed after Afghan aircraft mistakenly pounded their positions in Helmand province, a defence official said on Monday.

"The airstrike took place in Otrang village of Gereshk district on a position where Afghan troops were involved in operations against the Taliban," the official told Xinhua news agency.
