Taj Mahal missing from UP govt's tourism booklet

Lucknow, Oct 3 (Zee News): A controversy has broken out over a new booklet released by the Uttar Pradesh government to mark six months of Yogi Adityanath in power which does not mention the Taj Mahal.

The brochure was released by Tourism Minister Rita Bahuguna.

It catalogues tourist destinations like the temple in Gorakhpur. Also, it mentions plans for new attractions like a tour of monuments and locations central to the Ramayana.

However, one of the seven wonders of the world is absent from the list.

But later, after reports in a section of the media regarding the Taj Mahal, the state tourism ministry issued a press release detailing a number of projects it had initiated for the Taj Mahal and areas around it.

An official release said that the UP government had proposed a slew of tourism projects worth Rs 370 crore, around half of which is meant for the Taj Mahal and its surrounding areas.

"Tourism projects worth Rs 370 crore are proposed, under which schemes worth Rs 156 crore are meant for the Taj Mahal and its surrounding areas in Agra," the release read.

The proposal for the projects have been prepared in consultation with the World Bank and submitted to the Union government for approval, which is expected within the next three months, the release read.

Taj Mahal does not need any publicity from a communal brochure. Whole world knows where it is. This Yogi can put his head in the sand and pretend it does not exist. But other people are not stupid.

Taj Mahal, Mughal cuisine, Brass ware and so many arts and architecture are the greatest contributions of the Mughals to India, and UP in particular, which we should learn to utilize to our economic advantage.

Andh Bhakth, ask frankly yourself about the blunders made by your lunatic party for 60 years. Your mind will say about your andh bhakti to congress & but your conscious will always say right about the blunders of congress.

When you had leaders educated in IIT, IIM, NLS or any prestigious institutes in UP? Let your and bhakti continue, i don't have any issue.

Andh Bhakt, read the history of India and realize the development made by the party for the last 60 years. They built our nation with nothing. However, cow government destroyed everything in just 3 years. We found the word 'lynching' only after cow government coming to power. Corruption is much better than communalism. Current corruption is legal corruption and organized blunder by uneducated, big mouth, fake masters.
