Mangaluru, Oct 3: 'My Dad My Mom', a short film directed, produced and written by Fr Nelson D'Almeida, professor, St Joseph Seminary, Jeppu, was released by Fr Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangaluru, on Tuesday, October 3 at Lourdes Central School, Bejai.

Bishop Aloysius praised the hard work of Fr Nelson D’Almeida for especially using short movie as an instrument to motivate children to build up family values. Fr Joseph Martis gave the review of the film and he appreciated the short movie and invited all to nurture family values.

Fr Wilson D’Souza, correspondent of Lourdes Central School in his message lauded the effort of Fr Nelson. Fr Robert D’Souza, principal of the school, welcomed the dignitaries and Fr Nelson D’Almeida thanked all the dignitaries and all those who toiled for the short movie. He also mentioned that the primary motive of the short movie is to teach children give due respect to their parents and consider them as special treasures.

Dilla Culaco, teacher, Lourdes Central School, compered the programme.

Elias Fernandes, Director of Four Winds Communication Agency and a large number of children, teachers and guests were present on the occasion.

It is the third non-commercial short movie for children by Fr Nelson. His previous two short movies, 'My Country My life' and 'My Teacher My School' have influenced the life of children at large. All three short movies are available on Youtube.
