Puttur: Hearing in case against HJV leader Jagadish Karanth adjourned

Daijiworld Media Network - Puttur (SP)

Puttur, Oct 4: The hearing relating to a case in which Hindu Jagran Vedike (HJV) leader, Jagadish Karanth, has been accused of delivering public address containing offensive utterances against the local police sub-inspector and staff of the police station, was adjourned when the case came up for hearing in the court on Tuesday October 3.

As the case was posted to Tuesday, Karanth was present before the judicial magistrate on Tuesday. Advocate representing Karanth, Mahesh Kaje, requested the court to adjourn the hearing as Karanth was to appear in Sullia court for hearing in an old case. The court accepted the plea and adjourned the case to Wednesday.

Karanth, who was arrested on September 29, had obtained conditional interim bail. He was restrained then against going out of Puttur jurisdiction. The advocate therefore requested the court to permit Karanth to leave Puttur as he was scheduled to attend hearing in a case at Sullia. The judge upheld this plea.

    Wah Re wah !
When they appear in Sullia court they will ask for adjournment saying that he has to appear in Udupi court. Like that he will get some breather, but, the day when he appears in Creator's court, there is no escape, there is no adjournment, there is no tareek pe tareek. There will be one hearing and one punishment.
