Mangaluru, Oct 5: Uttar Pradesh (UP) chief minister (CM), Yogi Adityanath, visited Kadri Sri Yogeshwar Math, which is popularly known as Jogi Math, in the city on Wednesday October 4. Addressing a meeting programme organized there later, he felt that general welfare settles down in a nation where religion and politics are intertwined harmoniously. "In addition to protecting religion, adhering to principles and protecting the Rashtra Dharm (duty towards nation) should be our primary goal in life," he felt.

Yogi Adityanath visited the Math on the night of Wednesday. He felt that conserving ancient Hindu religion results in general welfare and well-being. He also advised the concerned to maintain Maths, temples, shrines etc in good condition.

On his arrival, the Yogi was given a warm reception by the spiritual head of the Math, Raja Nirmalanath Swamiji. He also had the darshan of Lord Kalabhairava at Jogi Math.

Immediate past head of the Math, Raja Sandhyanath Swamiji, Ekagamyananda Swamiji of Ramakrishna Math, Dakshina Kannada MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel, president of Jogi Samaj, Kiran Jogi, and Himmathlal Choudhary representing Rajasthan Sabha were present.

Tight security was in place all along the route which was taken by Yogi Adityanath to reach the Math.

Sources said that Yogi Adiayanath, who stayed at Jogi Math overnight, would be leaving for UP by a flight on Thursday at 6 am. Although Yogi Adityanat had visited the city during the coronation of the current head of the Math last year, this happens to be his first ever visit after becoming CM of UP.
