Lucknow, Oct 16 (Zee News): Agra's world famous Taj Mahal - the iconic monument of love - continues to grab headlines for good and bad reasons.

After a controversy over its non-inclusion in Uttar Pradesh Government's recently released tourism booklet, firebrand BJP MLA Sangeet Som has now said that the historic monument was built by traitors.

Som, who is the sitting BJP MLA from the Sardhana assembly constituency, reportedly said that the iconic Taj Mahal should have no place in the Indian history as it was built by traitors.

Calling Taj Mahal 'a blot on the India culture', Som said, "It was built by a person (Shahjahan) who imprisoned his own father."

Som made these remarks while addressing a function at Sisoli village in Meerut district on Sunday.

Besides his controversial remarks on Taj Mahal, Som also said that the Mohammad Ali Jauhar University was a hub of terrorists.

The loudmouth BJP legislator has been in the news for making communally-charged statements in the past.

He has earlier been booked for making inflammatory statements in connection with the Muzaffarnagar riots, but was later given a clean chit.

However, his party appears to have distanced itself from the controversy.

Sangeet Som has said this in his own capacity. This is not BJP's view, Anila Singh, BJP spokesperson, was quoted as saying by media reports.

Som made these remarks days after the UP tourism booklet, which was released to mark six months of the Yogi Adityanath government, omitted Taj Mahal while outlining plans for new attractions including a tour of monuments and locations central to the Ramayana.

It also included existing tourist destinations like the Gorakhpur temple (of which Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is the main priest).

CM Yogi had too said that the monument "had no connection with India's culture or heritage".

Former UP CM and Samajwadi party chief Akhilesh Yadav had earlier defended the monument and said that it continues to be "an architectural marvel and a much-visited monument that generates employment for a large number of people".

Justice Vishnu Sahai commission report on 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots says the mischievous circulation on social media of an old video clip of a Taliban controlled area in Pakistan - which falsely claimed that the two youths killed in the video were Hindus was 'one of the potent reasons' for the violence.
Police had registered a case against BJP MLA from Sardhana Som and more than two hundred other people who had liked the video under various sections of the IPC and also section 66 of the Information Technology Act in Muzaffarnagar on September 2, 2013.
As government and justice in their hands BJP MLA Sangeet Som gets clean chit in Muzaffarnagar fake video case citing Facebook headquarters failed to provide the details about the names of the people who had uploaded or liked the video saying they maintained a record of one year only, the SIT said, in its report filed in the court.

In 2001 the Taleban destroyed two beautiful statues of Buddha considered world heritage by the UNESCO.

Irrespective of which traitor commissioned the building of this wonder of the world; which I believe was the culmination of the sweat and blood of many Indian craftsmen to ensure that it stood the test of time as one of the 7 wonders of the world.

Now it is to be seen whether it will continue to stand as the Wonder of the World or whether it will be brought down by our very own home grown Taleban. And I say home grown Taleban because of the many uncanny similarities in the incidents that we peace loving Indians continue to be peppered with in the recent past.

Just imagine in 2019, if anybody else wins the Loksabha election other than BJP, what will be feeling then - wow it will be relaxed and all of them shall feel we got another 1947. It will be day of independence and 95% of the countries population will be busy in celebrating that day (including bhakts) because Sadly now they can't oppose openly (kyunke GST and demonetization), but they also need freedom from this frustrated lifestyle.

Though measuring the economic value of cultural monuments such as Taj Mahal is a complex exercise (involving mathematical modelling and econometric techniques), yet it is easy to say that the key driver for economic value of the monument is the revenue generated from cultural tourism attributable to the monument.

Earnings of local inhabitants at Agra are driven by the tourists – both local as well as foreign. More than 58 lakh visitors came to see Taj Mahal in 2013. This year, 42.5 lakh visitors came to see the Taj Mahal till September. On the Diwali weekend around 1.5 lakh tourists visited the Taj Mahal, causing a chaotic situation. As per a Press Information Bureau report of Ministry of Culture of Govt of India, the tourist revenue generated through the entry ticket fees amounts to Rs 21.84 cr for 2013-2014.

Hotels, rest and recreation areas in the vicinity of the monument benefit from tourism. Guides, who speak multiple languages take you around the monument, and are willing to double up as photographers whenever you need them to click snaps with your cell. Photographers click you on the coveted seat in front of Taj. Horse carts ferry you to Meena Bazar and other short distances.

Tourism also gives a boost to the sale of local handicrafts including clothes, leather goods, curios made of marble, stone carving and inlay work. Handicrafts made by prisoners are sold in emporiums

Though Taj Mahal is the main nodal point for tourist travel, some of the other monuments such as Agra Fort, Itmad-ud-daula’s tomb, Sikandara, Fatehpur Sikri etc play a crucial role in contributing towards the economic activities of Agra.

1- Before the first computer in the univsersities was installed his degree was printed on the computer printer.
2- The font used was implemented by Microsoft in 1992 but it was used in the printing of his degree certificate using that font in 1979.
3- PM Modi received the only degree in the world in “Entire Political Science” . The Professor of the university himself heard the subject for the first time.

In my opinion, it is a retrograde step taken by UP government headed by Yogi Adityanath. I am at a loss to know if the BJP government wants to take the country forward or take it back to the medieval times. Let me make it very clear that I am not holding a brief for Shah Jahan, the king who built this monument. It is quite possible that he might have been a cruel man. That is not the point. The issue is history should be learnt the way the events unfolded. History is replete with stories of good people and bad people, people we like and people we dislike. Just because we don't like certain people, we can't rewrite the books or distort the facts. That would be akin to teaching wrong things about the past. Now coming to the Taj Mahal, whether we like it or not, it is one of the wonders of the world. Tourists come to India to see the Taj Mahal. If we exclude it from the tourism booklet, we are going to be the losers. On the one hand, we spend crores of rupees to attract tourists to our country and on the other, we try to hide one of the most attractive places in the world. What kind of hypocrisy or marketing strategy is this? The people in charge of tourism in the U.P. should come out of this narrow, partisan and parochial approach and view the issue from a different angle, an angle from where we can only think about the progress of this country.

"The company, Al-Dua Food Processing Private Ltd, was founded by Mr. Som, along with Moinuddin Qureshi and a third partner, to deal in meat and meat products in 2005. According to Al-Dua’s website, the company is now a “leading producer and exporter of halal meat from India.”

1) Mumtaz was shahjahans 4th wife out of his 7 wives.
2) Shahjahan killed mumtaz's husband to marry her.
3) Mumtaz died in her 14th delivery.
4) He then married mumtaz's sister.

Mumtaz Mahal was the 2nd wife of Shah Jahan, who had a total of three wives. Mumtaz Mahal was his childhood love and his favorite. She traveled all over the empire with Shah Jahan. She served as his advisor and bore him 14 children. Unfortunately, Mumtaz Mahal died during the childbirth of their 14 child. Shah Jahan was said to have gone into a deep state of depression. He stopped eating and hardly slept. He finally found a release of sorts in his dearly departed’s last wish. She wanted her husband to build a tomb in her memory such as the world had never seen before, and build it .

yes..if Godse is RSS and he had shot at gandhiji and gandhiji died of it..why the case proceedings were classified by then govt and postmortem not conducted ....if SC accept to reopen the case everything will be known ...Godse fired 3 bullets but Gandiji died of 4th bullet ??/...
