Youth bludgeoned to death on Diwali night in Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 20 (IANS): A 19-year-old youth was found bludgeoned to death in an empty plot of land here late on Thursday night, police said on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Sandeep. He was found murdered in Harsh Vihar area of north-east Delhi, a police officer told IANS.

According to preliminary investigation, "the youth was beaten with a blunt object, probably a rock", the officer said.

The body has been shifted to GTB Hospital for autopsy. 

Police are going through CCTV footage of the area. No arrest has been made yet.
