Bengaluru: Only valid license holders to bring vehicles to schools, colleges - Police

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Oct 25: City police have issued strict instructions to schools and colleges here to ensure that only students who posses valid driving license be allowed to park their scooter in the premises of school or college.

Statement from the police department said, "Students use cars and bikes and there have been numerous instances of accidents during the joy ride of the students."

The police department had issued a circular in this regard to the Education Department on July 30, 2016. It seems this rule will be strictly implemented in near future. All schools and colleges have started verifying the driving licenses of students who bring their own vehicles to the educational institutions.

As per Traffic police rules, people who do not attain the age of 18 cannot acquire driving license.
