Mangaluru: Agricultural scientist Harish Shenoy honoured with Abdul Kalam Award

Mangaluru, Oct 26: Harish Shenoy, working as scientist at ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra at Mangaluru has been honored with Bharath Ratna Dr Abdul Kalam Gold Medal Award by Global Economic Progress and Research Association, New Delhi.

The award was conferred at the National Unity Conference held at Chennai recently in the presence of Madras High Court Judge Justice K Samidurai, former union minister of law and justice K Venkatapathy and Dr A Kalanithi, former vice-chancellor of Anna University.

Harish Shenoy has been working as an agricultural scientist at ICAR- Krishi Vigyan Kendra for the past seven years and has been striving for the betterment of farming community through various field demonstrations, field visits, participating as resource person in various farmer oriented programmes and disseminating the latest technology in agricultural field. He hails from Mijar Shenoy family and presently settled down at B C Road, Bantwal with his family.
