Udupi: Police arrest youth accused of raping, impregnating lady

Udupi, Oct 27: A person, who has been accused of earning the trust of a lady from Sastan Gundmi in the taluk and impregnating her, stands arrested by police personnel of Kota station.

The arrested accused was Suhail Ahmed from Gundmi. He had been pestering the lady continuously and finally succeeded in sexually harassing her and forcibly developing physical relationship. The lady became pregnant. Around the time when the woman was in the ninth month of her pregnancy, the accused reportedly tried to flee.

Growing anxious by this development, the lady filed police complaint in Kota station. The police, in a swift operation,  arrested the accused.
