Mangaluru: St Aloysius ITI partners with Jaquar Group

Mangaluru, October 27: Jaquar Group, the leading manufacturer of bath fittings in India, with a presence in over 40 countries, recently announced its partnership with the St Aloysius ITI in Mangaluru to run one of the most effective plumber training programmes.

The new Sani-Tech Lab which was designed and donated by Jaquar and Co Pvt Ltd was inaugurated by chief guest Mamatha Gatty, secretary, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, in the presence of Ajay Mahajan, Global head, Customer Care, Jaquar and Co Pvt Ltd, and Fr Dionysius Vaz, rector, St Aloysius Institutions.

As a part of the programme, Jaquar Group will train 30 plumbers per batch and 100 plumbers over a period of one year at the institute and 3 months of on-job training. The individuals will be imparted the skills of a trained plumber through on-ground teaching and execution of mock instances. Once the training is complete, Jaquar Foundation will provide uniforms and tool kits to trainees based on a defined criteria of 90% attendance during the course and good academic performance. Moreover, Jaquar Group will provide job opportunities through dealer’s network or builder’s projects to deserving candidates.

Shekhar poojary, HOD of CF shipping and representatives of Jaquar and Company Pvt Ltd were other dignitaries present on the occasion. Students presented a colourful cultural show. The programme concluded with the National Anthem. Sweets were distributed to all.
