Mangaluru, Oct 27: ICYM Neermarga in association with ICYM city deanery organised 'Gadyath Udkana – season 2', a deanery-level slush field fest on Sunday, October 22 at Kambla Gado, Merlapadav.  The event marked the silver jubilee of ICYM city deanery.

Sack race, couple race, cricket, throwball, tug of war, and human pyramid build were among the games conducted. Participants also took part in an attractive march past depicting the farming culture of the region. A traditional meal of congee and chutney was served to all present.

Neermarga won the overall championship. Vamanjoor placed second. Bajal and Fermai parish placed third. Six parishes from the deanery participated.

ICYM city deanery director and parish priest Fr Anil D'Mello, ICYM central council president Elroy Saldhana, secretary Joel Concesso, treasurer Jaison Periera, PRO  Rohan Lewis, deanery representative Josna D'Souza, ICYM city deanery president Raison Ferrao, secretary Veena Vas, Br Stany, Ivan Saldhana, Neermarga unit president Ivan D'Souza, secretary Sapna Gonsalves and other office bearers were present.
