Udupi, Oct 28: The district BJP members staged protests demanding the resignation of K J George in front of town BJP office at Kadiyali here on Friday October 27.

District BJP president Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde said, “In the first instance, he got away with a clean chit in connection with DySP Ganapati's mysterious suicide case after which he was again taken back into the ministry by the chief minister. Many organizations and groups have protested against him. Now the right time has come for him to get legal punishment in Ganapati case.”

“As it is learnt that the proofs and evidences have been destroyed by him, government should take a firm decision and expel him from the cabinet. He should not continue to remain in power.”

Zilla panchayat vice president Sheela K Shetty said, “K J George will definitely get ‘Jailu bhagya’ this time round. Truth can never be manipulated. Through this murder case, all of George's illegal activities will be revealed one by one.”

Condemning the state government, she further said, “The IAS and IPS officers are getting murdered by suicide bhagya. The Congress led government is inciting government officials to commit suicides.”

“Moreover, Hindu activists and youth are being murdered in the state quite often. COD investigations are just an excuse. The state government has blindfolded itself and is sitting quietly without taking any action against the real culprits. George must resign from his political career.”

Former MLA Raghupati Bhat, Yuva Morcha president Shreesha Nayak, ZP president Dinakar Babu, Praveen, Naveen Kutyar, Veena, Shyamala Kundar, Sandhya Ramesh and others were present.
