Mangaluru: Accident at Panambur - Bike rider killed

Mangaluru, Oct 31: In an accident involving a tanker and a motor bike which happened on Monday October 30 near KIOCL Junction at Panambur in the city, the motor bike rider sustained serious injuries. He later died in a hospital here.

The deceased has been identified as Madhava Poojary (30), resident of Panjimogaru here. Poojary had visited Suratkal on Monday morning to get his television set repaired. He was returning towards Kulur in his motor bike when a tanker hit his vehicle near KIOCL Junction. Poojary fell down in the accident and his body got deposited near the rear wheels of the tanker. The rear wheels of the tanker instantly moved over him, inflicting serious injuries to his feet, left hand,chest and head.

Although Poojary was admitted into a private hospital here immediately, he could not be saved. He breathed his last at 3 pm.

    Patrol vehicle shuold be on that place as corective and preventive action. Also place signal in that junction. Its a hell lot of heavy vhcles moving around. All heavy vhcles should hav beacon lights ON.. and flashing 24hrs way on road
